🇹🇼 Top universities in Taiwan for recruiters

6 curated universities across computer science, AI, business and overall prestige. Data last reviewed June 2026.

What recruiters should know about Taiwan

Taiwan is vastly underrated in global rankings given its actual tech output - the country is home to TSMC, the world's most important semiconductor company, and the top universities feed directly into this ecosystem. NTU and NTHU are strong in CS and engineering. The language barrier (most programmes in Mandarin) limits international accessibility but Taiwan graduates increasingly work globally in semiconductor and hardware roles.

How these lists are made: curated by a recruiter from major public rankings (QS, Times Higher Education and others) combined with on-the-ground knowledge from hiring managers and sourcers. Lists are not ranked in strict order and are not exhaustive. A university missing from a list is not a judgement on its graduates. Use these lists to widen and structure searches, not to filter people out. "Private" marks tuition-based or privately run institutions; no tag does not always mean free, see the country note.
